English in the Community
A Registered Charity founded by immigrant English language teachers, EITC provides free, quality English language courses to members of the international community resident in the UK. Services are signposted, connecting non-native people with agencies which can assist their successful integration into society. EITC and its volunteers serve as advocates for the local migrant community, providing research and insights, helping to shape policy and provide solutions, ensuring social inclusion of non-native people.
EITC is a completely independent organisation, with over 30 volunteers. There are no paid staff and no premises, rooms being rented as required from other organisations, thus ensuring the maximum amount of funding goes directly to support community projects.
